Shear Welder of Metal Bands

At present, the traditional manual arc or gas welding is adopted for welding strips by many facories in metal tube mills, steel joist mills and continuousstrip punching/ processing industries.As a result, the welding joint is uneven, misplaced and thus ends up with a poor welding quality. But what is worst, the welding ridge is as thick as 3-5mmfor 2-3mmmetal bands for example. Unfortunately, this increases theimpact to the production line when drawing the strips and decreases the service life of the unit and potentially caused the shut down of the production line accordingly. Moreover, the poor manual welding tends to break down at the welding joint.

Our company developed a series of shear welders of model No. DJJ-160、DJJ-260、DJJ-360、DJJ-400 and DJJ-500. This revolutionary development has completely overcome the maladies of the traditional manual operation and increased the welding quality greatly. Besides, we offer to custom-design and custom-make the shear welders specifically according to your unique requirement.


Technical Description:

Shear welder is usually used in metal tube mills, continuous punching lines and metal strip processing lines for shear cutting and strip welding. The metal strips include carbon steel, stainless steel, red copper, aluminum and titanium.

The shears are burrs free since triple blades shearing is adopted.
The power (compressed air or hydraulic oil) is available easily.
The unique metal strip positioner is equipped for accurate positioning and easy operation.
Operation becomes easy and reliable since the accurate positioning for metal strip is adopted and the pedal swithes  are equipped to control the air cylinder or hydraulic cylinder.
Tungsten electrode DC welding/pulse arc welding (or AC/pulse arc welding) is adopted for strip welding to get a  smooth welding seam, which needs no grinding. This minimizes the impact force to the machine caused by the high welding ridge when drawing the strips.
Quality welding seam is achieved with high strength.
The whole welding process is automatically finished by applying PLC and frequency inverter,from torch starting, running, arc ignition, welding current rise, arc stabilization, current drop, arc blowout, to welding torch return and reset.
The welding current rises and drops slowly and automatically at the starting end and finishing end to minimize the welding gap at 2 sides of strips.

Note: Shear welder model A+ and B+ refer to reinforced type, which is pneumatic compression and hydraulic shearing. Pneumatic pressure 0.6MPa means pneumatic compression pressure is 0.6 MPa, hydraulic 7 MPa means shear pressure is 7MPa.
